This all-level breath-work and meditation class is suitable for ages teen to golden.
This class will consist of seated centering and warm ups, breathwork for anxiety and stress relief, an extended (reclined) guided deep relaxation, and a closing seated meditation. Suitable for all body types, the class focuses on developing subtle consciousness by aligning the body, breath, mind, soul, and spirit.
The Sama Vritti, or balanced breathwork, activates and directs powerful chemicals and communication between systems in the body, priming it to practice Yoga Nidra. Swamis, in conjunction with medical doctors, mindfully designed Yoga Nidra: the Science of Sleep. Its goal is to create a lucid consciousness, in which one is peaceful, deep, radiant, and connected to everything.
Props: Please have your own mat, cushion(s) or block(s), and blanket(s), as we may use any and / or all of them. A folding chair is also helpful for those with limited space, mobility, or stillness challenges. Note: Household rug(s), blanket(s), pillow(s), etc. can be substituted with a little imagination.
Preparation: You may choose to use a computer or handheld device of your preference. In either case the audio feed from that device will be toggled off until you activate it yourself; if you want to talk to me or the group please remember to mute it again when you are complete. For ideal results, if it[s an option, you may consider positioning the camera with a side view of your mat or chair so that I may observe and better guide your practice.
